Among the major information events held in the last quarter of 2014, worth noting are the three conventions organised by CEI in October 2014 in Rome, Lecce and Milan titled "Oil-immersed power transformers: regulations and prevention".

A Sea Marconi representative was invited to participate as a speaker, delivering a speech on "Life Cycle Management of Oils & Transformers (LCM-O&T): survey of diagnostics and integrated treatments for damage prevention and environmental protection".

All three CEI events were well attended, brining together the main operators in the sector at national level. The events touched on issues related to design/manufacturing innovations and to the different ways of managing electricity networks, including the life cycle management of equipment. There was also talk of safety in relation to the European directive on eco-design and as a result of Presidential Decree 151 of 2011, aimed at the prevention of fire hazards that could develop as a result of serious failures due the presence of insulating oil.
